Michael Howe is a founder of Mufson Howe Hunter and currently is a managing director and a founding partner of GreenWorld Capital, LLC, a merchant bank focusing on the financial and strategic needs of companies in the cleantech sector in the US and abroad.  GreenWorld has a strategic joint venture relationship with our firm.  He brings over 30 years of investment management and equity research experience.  Mr. Howe was previously president of Susquehanna Financial Group where he oversaw all research and investment banking activities and proprietary investing activities.  While at Susquehanna, he established their in-house proprietary research group and was senior executive overseeing and funding more than 100 PIPE transactions. 

Mr. Howe began his investment banking career in 1981, serving as a senior research analyst covering technology and manufacturing at Wheat First Butcher & Singer (now Wells Fargo).  He was a founding partner of Foley Mufson Howe & Company which was sold to Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.

He began his career as an electrical engineer designing and developing satellite navigation / communication equipment and robotics systems for GE and Honeywell among others.  In particular, he was responsible for the overall control system for the NASA's Space Shuttle Robot Arm.

Mr. Howe received dual master’s degrees (M.S.S.E and M.B.A) from the Moore School of Engineering and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a graduate of Villanova University, where he received a B.E.E degree, and was elected to both Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honor societies.
